Armor Sets in Drill to Earth's Core

Armor in Drill to Earth’s Core is a personal HP stack, not a drill upgrade. Coins buy most of it in the Trading Post shop. Chests and luck gate the mythic pieces. The shared vehicle still needs Drill Power. You still need a class from the Academy roster. This page is the gear ladder so you stop dumping Coins into a third Power Drive rank while you are still wearing Rusty legs into Crystal.

The game is a 30-player online co-op Roblox descent that launched on 25 February 2026. Season 1 is live. There is no promo-code box that gifts King’s Gear. If a thumbnail promised a redeem string for armor, it is the other Earth’s Core game. Spend that time on Cores and on the shop.

Shop sets: Rusty, Steel, Gold, Diamond

Rusty Gear is the tutorial kit. Miner starts in a rusty pick and miner armor. HP is thin. Wear it through Grass and early Dirt, then sell it or scrap it at Crazy Zack’s once Steel is on the table. Do not keep Rusty boots into Stone because you like the color.

Steel Gear is the first real shop buy. HP jumps enough that Goblin Brutes stop one-shotting you if you also own a bandage stack. Pair Steel with the weapons ranking: Steel Speed Boots at 150 Coins are often the first mobility purchase, even before a full Steel chest. Dynamite at 200 Coins is still usually a skip; the drill and a Rifle do more work.

Gold Gear sits in the mid-run shop once Trading Posts have seen a few dungeon hauls. Gold armor is a Coin sink. Buy it when Drill Power is already a few Common ranks deep. A Gold chest on a miner who never bought Fuel Storage is how Clay’s Void wall empties the tank and the run ends in a joke. Read the upgrade tier list before you gold-plate a weak bit.

Diamond Gear is the late-mid shop set. HP is finally honest. Diamond weapons hit harder than Gold. You still lose to Void if you can afford the next tier. Diamond is the set you wear through Toxic and Radioactive while you farm scrap for turrets on the crafting page.

Late sets: Void, Phoenix, King

Void Gear is the first late-game plate that feels like a different game. The armor block is about +500 HP. Void Boots are the second-fastest boots in the current shop order. Void Sword and Void Pickaxe are the fallback weapons if you have not seen Phoenix yet. Void Shotgun at 3,000 Coins is the gun people actually finish 100 KM with. Wear Void into The Abyss and The Void layers on the depth chart.

Phoenix Gear is Legendary and usually the most expensive shop set. The armor block is about +700 HP. Phoenix Boots are the fastest boots in the game. Phoenix weapons hit hard enough that you can fight structure bosses at range without burning six medkits. If a Trading Post stocks Phoenix and your drill can already break the next wall, buy the boots first, then the chest. Speed keeps you off Bombo’s fuse and off the back of the drill when a boss wall spawns three lanes.

King’s Gear is the luck set. King’s Pickaxe and Excalibur do not sit on a reliable shop shelf. They drop from high-tier chests, dungeon luck, and the kind of Gold / Diamond / Void chest rolls that Lucky Looter exists to multiply. Do not stall a 100 KM push waiting for King. Clear the core boss wall in Phoenix or Void, then hunt King on the next deep run.

How to spend, and what not to wear

Buy HP when the next named layer on the 100 KM route would one-shot you. Buy boots when you keep dying because you cannot outrun a Fuel Leech or a loot goblin. Buy weapons when the dungeon guide says fight from range. Never buy a full Gold set before Drill Power, Fuel Storage, and a Rifle exist.

The +100 Extra Health Robux pass (99 Robux) stacks with armor. It is not a set. Sack Storage (79 Robux) does not add HP. There is no armor code. Class outfits in the lobby inventory after the Executioner update are cosmetics for the island, not extra plate underground.

Scrap junk at Crazy Zack’s. Attach loose pieces to the drill deck so they do not fall off. Church saves about every 300 km store tools; they do not store a full King’s set if you never found one. If the server closes, you lose the run’s shop buys. That is why Phoenix on a push you might finish tonight beats King on a screenshot.

Wear the cheapest set that keeps you standing at the next boss wall. Then put the rest of the Coins into the machine. The Getting Started loop still wins: mine, dungeon, sell, upgrade, restock, drill.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Cores, classes, and the 100 KM wall.

What is the best armor before 100 KM?

Void if you can afford it, Phoenix if the shop stocks it. Do not wait for King's Gear. See the core boss plan for medkits and boots.

Should I buy Gold armor or Drill Power first?

Drill Power. Gold plate on a weak bit dies at Clay. Follow the upgrade rankings.

How do I get King's Gear?

Luck from high-tier chests. Lucky Looter helps. There is no promo code; the codes hub is empty on purpose.

Do class outfits add armor HP?

No. Lobby class outfits from the Executioner update are cosmetics. Underground HP comes from shop sets and the Extra Health pass.
