Patch History

Drill to Earth’s Core launched on February 25, 2026 as a free 30-player online co-op descent. Game Name. (Socksfor3) has never numbered those drops. This page is the ordered list: launch, summer classes, dungeon reworks, and the Season 1 tag. Use it when a video says last month and you need a date. The live heading is still Season 1. The index is the updates hub.

Nothing here is a codes history. The place never grew a redeem box. Class balance, walls, and shops are what actually moved.

February 25, 2026 — launch

The root place 101906032112547 went public with a shared drill, named layers, dungeons, and an Academy that sold classes for Cores. Miner at 100 Cores was the on-ramp. Coins bought in-run drill upgrades. Servers capped at 30. The first-hour loop you still play — sack, fuel, Grass wall, first chest — dates to this ship, not to Season 1. If you are brand new, the getting started guide is that launch loop with current advice.

June — Pirate, daily streaks, monster variants

Mid-year added Pirate as a gold-leaning class, a daily quest streak that pays extra Cores for showing up, pickaxe damage buffs, rock HP tweaks, and boss variants so walls were not the same sprite every layer. Monster packs got meaner. This is the patch that turned dailies into the real free-to-play Cores engine. Pirate’s seat and later gold-drop nerfs belong on the Pirate page and the class tier list, not on a codes table.

The mid-article video on this page recaps that June drop: Pirate, streaks, and variants. Watch it as the start of the summer cadence, then keep reading; the game did not freeze there.

July — crafting shack / Crazy Zack

July turned scrap into a system. Crazy Zack’s shack became the place you dump junk and unlock modules instead of leaving metal in the sack. Autopilot and other craft lines start here. If a run feels stuck because nobody is converting loot into drill parts, the crafting guide is the July lesson, not a Season 1 lecture. Coins still buy the Trading Post roll; crafting sits beside that, not on top of Cores.

August 2 — Gunsmith, Vampire Mansion, class reworks

A large mid-summer bundle: Gunsmith as a new class, six new achievements, a Crafting Shack rework, new turrets, and the Vampire Mansion dungeon. Lucky Looter took a heavy nerf. Reaper and Goblin King were buffed. Several classes gained crafting-related passives and requirements, which is why a pre-August build guide can lie about who funds the drill. Read Lucky Looter and Reaper against this date. Mansion runs belong with the dungeon guide.

August 15 — Executioner and boss-wall rules

Executioner shipped with a story quest, side quests, class outfits in the lobby, and a nasty wall change: teleporters disabled during boss walls. Some fights moved onto a 1 HP / 12 second regen pattern, which punished burst scripts and reward-teleport habits at the same time. Exploding stone enemies showed up. Nightcrawler was buffed. If your old hop-to-wall menu died in mid-August, this is why. Legal squads already held the line with drill DPS; cheaters lost their skip. Executioner itself is a late, expensive seat — read the Executioner guide and the class tier list before you dump 30,000 Cores.

August 19 — Witch

Witch received an unlock badge on August 19. Early trackers called it staged because awards sat at zero for two days. The class then climbed to on the order of 20,000 unlocks. Treat it as shipped. It is part of the weekly class cadence, not a Season 1 exclusive.

August 28 — Salvager and Heart of Earth

Salvager, Mine Heartgem, and the Heart of Earth badge (Reach what lies beneath) landed together. Heart of Earth is the 1,000,000 meter goal, far past the Glowing Core wall at 100,000 meters. Most players should still finish the 100 KM walkthrough and the core boss plan before they treat Heart of Earth as a weekend project. Salvager is another scarce craft-leaning unlock, in line with the July shack work.

September 3–8 — Season 1 / Prospector

Prospector and Shopkeeper badges on September 3 open the season. The experience title gained [SEASON 1] by September 8. Advertised lobby ranks from the NEW SEASON + RANKS event remain unverified in-game here. September 9’s universe stamp is a republish. Full argument, visit counts, and the Witch correction live on the Season 1 page.

How to use this list

When a class feels wrong, check whether you are reading a guide from before August 2 (Lucky Looter nerf) or before August 15 (teleport lock). When a script author says undetected, check whether they have shipped since Executioner. When a thumbnail says new codes, ignore it and stay on this timeline. The next dated calendar item after Season 1 is New Update! / Surprise Update! on September 19–21, 2026, with no notes. The dedicated Surprise Update page holds that window. Armor and badge write-ups from this season sit on armor sets and achievements. Executioner now has a class page. This list will gain a row when a badge or a real lobby feature appears — not when a tracker reprints an updated timestamp.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Cores, classes, and the 100 KM wall.

When did Drill to Earth's Core launch?

February 25, 2026, as a live 30-player co-op drill. It is not unreleased. Season 1 in September is a content season on top of that launch. See the updates hub.

Which patch added Pirate and daily streaks?

June 2026. Pirate, daily streaks, and boss variants landed together. Class ranks after later nerfs sit on the class tier list.

Why did teleports stop working on boss walls?

The August 15 Executioner update disabled teleporters during boss walls and added 1 HP / 12s regen on some fights. That change is still in the live build under Season 1.

Is Heart of Earth the same as the 100 KM wall?

No. Glowing Core is 100,000 meters. Heart of Earth shipped August 28 at 1,000,000 meters with Salvager. Clear 100 KM first.
