Sustain fighter for dungeons, goblin rooms, and the glowing core.

Reaper Class Guide

Reaper is the 10,000-Core Academy kit that sits in A-tier on the September 2026 community list, one step under Lucky Looter, Driller, and Pirate, and one step above the honest B-tier specialists. You buy it to stay alive in rooms. Enemies have a 20% chance to drop soul orbs that heal 25 HP. A Soul Lantern comes on as you level and damages nearby enemies. An August buff made that loop less of a meme and more of a main. In a 30-player co-op descent, Reaper is the person who walks into a goblin ring without immediately requesting a revive kit.

It is not an S-tier wall class. It does not discount Drill Power. It does not multi-drop chests. It keeps the loot classes standing. If your wipes are “we starved the drill,” buy Driller. If your wipes are “we died in the door,” buy Reaper.

Soul orbs and the lantern

Level 1 is the orb. Twenty percent chance, 25 HP, on a corpse that was going to be fuel or Coin anyway. Orbs can heal you and can help teammates who walk through them, which is why Reaper is a support fighter without being Healer. Healer is 3,000 Cores and +10% healing. Reaper is 10,000 Cores and a personal fountain that does not wait for a medkit animation. Bandages at 10 Coins still belong in the sack. Orbs are the reason you stop panic-buying medkits after every scratch.

Soul Lantern is the level 2 identity: a held or equipped lantern that damages enemies in a radius. It is not a Rifle replacement. It is a room-clear aura for packs that crowd the cart and for dungeon hallways where aiming a shotgun at three goblins is worse than walking through them. Requirements are kill counts — thousands of enemies — so a Reaper who only mines will stay underleveled. Fight. Feed the lantern. The later personal node adds max HP as you keep killing (community notes put it around +5 max HP every 10 kills), which is why Reaper scales in long descents instead of capping like a shop gun.

Team bonus is level 4 at 10,000,000 total depth, the same gate as Demolitionist. Until then the orbs are yours. After that the lobby gets a smaller orb chance. You will main Reaper for a long time before that number is a trophy.

Lifesteal synergy and the Bruiser neighbor

Life Steal is an Epic drill upgrade that returns HP on melee hits for the team. Reaper already heals from orbs. Adding Life Steal is how a melee Reaper becomes annoying to kill. Bruiser is the 5,000-Core +50% melee kit on the players hub — no dedicated page yet, but the rank is A-tier next to Reaper. A lobby with Bruiser, Reaper, and Life Steal is a melee blob. A lobby with Reaper and Gunslinger is a mixed blob. Read the weapons and gear list for the Rifle versus melee split. Reaper can use guns; the lantern just means you are not helpless when the Rifle is reloading.

August’s class pass buffed Reaper and Goblin King while it nerfed Lucky Looter. That is why this kit climbed conversations even if the community table still holds Looter in S. Orbs plus lantern plus HP-on-kills is a combat identity that does not need a 30,000-Core cannon. Take it into dungeons as the clearer, and take it to the glowing core fight as the person who can eat a hit, orb, and keep shooting. Executioner (30,000 Cores, +100% boss damage) is the specialist for that wall. Reaper is the generalist who arrives alive.

How to spend the 10,000

If you already own Lucky Looter, Reaper is the combat fork. If you already own Driller, Reaper is how you stop treating Bandages as a class. If you own neither, Driller at 5,000 is still the better first S-tier for depth; Reaper at 10,000 is the better first A-tier for sustain. Pirate at 30,000 can wait. Miner can stay in the closet until an ore daily appears.

Passive rerolls at 2,500 Cores are famous on this kit. People own Looter, wear Reaper, and chase multi-drop so the fighter also prints chests. That is a real plan and a real sink. Do not reroll until Looter is actually on the account. You cannot copy a class you never bought.

Nightcrawler sits in C-tier with no verified price on this wiki. Do not skip Reaper for an unverified night kit because a comment said it was S. Priest, Witch, and Gunsmith are in the same unlabeled bucket. Reaper’s 10,000-Core tag is verified. Pay it, kill things, walk through orbs, and let the lantern do the boring work while you aim at the champion. The players hub is the roster if you need the loot or gold page next.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Cores, classes, and the 100 KM wall.

Does Reaper replace Bandages and Healer?

No. Orbs cut how often you panic-heal, but Bandages still belong in the sack. Healer is a cheaper support; Reaper is a fighter who happens to heal.

What did the August buff change?

Reaper and Goblin King were buffed in the same class pass that nerfed Lucky Looter. The orb-and-lantern loop is the combat main, not a side toy.

Should Reaper buy Life Steal on the drill?

If the lobby melees, yes. Life Steal returns HP on melee hits and stacks with orbs. Bruiser in the same server makes that Epic even greedier.

Is Reaper good at the glowing core boss?

Yes as a survivor. Bring a real gun from the weapons list, keep the lantern up, and let Executioner or ranged DPS own the boss-damage job.
