Season 1 Update

Season 1 is the live heading on Drill to Earth’s Core. It is not a numbered patch file. Game Name. tagged the Roblox experience [SEASON 1] during the week of September 3–8, 2026, after creating two badges on September 3: Prospector and Shopkeeper. This page is the close-up. For the year-long trail that got here — Pirate, Gunsmith, Executioner, Witch, Salvager — use patch history. For the index, use the updates hub.

The game has been released since February 25, 2026. Season 1 is a content season on a live 30-player co-op drill, not a launch. It did not add promo codes. If you came here from a codes thumbnail, bounce to the codes hub and farm Cores instead.

How we date the drop

The developers do not post Steam-style notes. Three clocks still line up:

  1. Badges. Prospector (Unlock the Prospector class) and Shopkeeper were created minutes apart on September 3, 2026. Prospector is a scarce class unlock. Shopkeeper is a common interaction badge awarded to hundreds of thousands of players, which is how we know the kiosk is actually in the build.
  2. Roblox event. NEW SEASON + RANKS was listed for September 4–21, 2026, with developer copy that promised a new lobby, a ranking system, and a major content update. That event later left the public feed. We treat the copy as advertisement.
  3. Title tag. An archived game page on September 4 still lacked the season prefix. A September 8 copy reads [SEASON 1]. The rename lagged the badges, which is normal for this studio.

The universe updated stamp then jumped to September 9. No badge and no game pass were created that day. Call it a republish, not a secret patch.

What is confirmed versus advertised

Confirmed: Prospector is a real class with an unlock badge. Shopkeeper is a real badge, which implies a shopkeeper interaction in the live lobby. The experience title carries the season tag. Concurrent play did not collapse after the drop.

Advertised, unverified in-game on this wiki: the new lobby art pass and the ranking system. If you load a server and still see the summer plaza, that does not mean Season 1 rolled back. It means those two claims have not been independently confirmed here. We will not write a ranks table until players can actually open one.

Not in the drop: a codes button, a third paid pass, or a rewrite of Cores versus Coins. Pass prices stay +5 Sack Storage at 79 Robux and +100 Extra Health at 99 Robux. Skip Card Animations still is not sold.

Prospector, visits, and the Witch correction

Prospector is the class that marks the season. It sits on the players hub roster once you own it, and its Cores price belongs on the class cost tool with the rest of the Academy. Early unlock counts were in the low hundreds, which is typical for a brand-new paid seat, not a free starter. Miner at 100 Cores remains the first buy; Prospector is not a beginner replacement for Lucky Looter or Driller.

Live Roblox stats around the season window sat near 50.6 million visits, with favourites in the mid-700,000s and a rating still above 92 percent. Peak concurrent this summer was about 13,000 in late August; Season 1 did not beat that high, and it did not dump the population either. Average session length stayed in the mid-20-minute range, which matches a drill run that either dies at a wall or resets after a core break.

Witch needs a correction because early coverage called it staged. The class badge was created August 19. After a couple of days at zero awards it looked like a dummy. It then climbed to on the order of 20,000 unlocks. Witch shipped. It is not a Season 1 exclusive, but the season window is when the count became impossible to ignore.

Heart of Earth and how deep Season 1 sits

On August 28, days before the season tag, the studio shipped Salvager, Mine Heartgem, and the Heart of Earth badge (Reach what lies beneath). Heart of Earth is the deep-end goal at 1,000,000 meters, not the Glowing Core wall at 100,000 meters. Most of the player base is still fighting to finish the 100 KM route and the core boss wall. Season 1 does not skip that wall. It sits on top of a game that already had twelve layers, dungeons, and a crafting shack.

The mid-article video on this page is an August 2 recap of Gunsmith, Vampire Mansion, and class reworks — the patch that set the table for late-summer classes. Watch it as context, then come back to the September badges. For the ordered list of every dated drop, stay on patch history. For whether Prospector is worth your Cores, compare it on the class tier list after you own the cheap seats.

The next dated calendar item is New Update! / Surprise Update! on September 19–21, 2026, with no notes. Until that window closes, Season 1 plus the advertised ranks copy is the whole current story.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Cores, classes, and the 100 KM wall.

When did Season 1 go live?

The week of September 3–8, 2026, dated by Prospector and Shopkeeper badges on September 3. The updates hub tracks the next event window.

Did Season 1 add a new lobby and ranks?

The NEW SEASON + RANKS event advertised both. This wiki treats lobby and ranks as unverified in-game. Prospector and Shopkeeper are confirmed. See patch history for prior drops.

Is Prospector a beginner class?

No. It is a scarce Season 1 unlock. Buy Miner first, then a paid farmer such as Lucky Looter or Driller. Prices sit on the class cost tool.

Does Season 1 change the 100 KM goal?

No. The Glowing Core wall is still 100,000 meters. Heart of Earth at 1,000,000 meters shipped August 28 with Salvager. Use the 100 KM guide first.
